It was an accidental discovery. One day, while playing with the Google search engine, it suddenly crossed my mind, "Well, let's see what shows if I try my name!" So I tried searching for "javedahmad", and following results appeared:
The first link isn't mine. The last two are from my web site. But hey! What's that "Pro-Palestinian Member List" showing my email address? So I wanted to see what's on that list! I clicked on the link http://www.supportersofshariah.co.uk/inin.html and found a list of email addresses. It starts like this:
"We were emailed this Pro-Palestinian Member List and ININ This shows you that Supporters of Palestinians and others around the World, could be Supporting al'Qaida to? / ININ.NET (Islamic News and Information) ININ is down permanently,the decision to shut down ININ was voluntary, and there was no outside pressure. Other ININ messages can be found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/inin/messages "
And at the end of the list it says:

Seeing this, I said to myself, "Wow! Now that's a setup!" Now I'm hooked. I needed to know who is behind this game. So I went to http://www.register.com to check who owns the web site. There I found this:
http://www.supportersofshariah.co.uk is registered to "islamic-news". So I went ahead to look for that domain too! And the result was:
Note that the name server IP address are the same. Which means, they are the same. And the domain is registered to Glen Jenvey. I said to myself, "Two Islamic web sites registered by a non-Muslim called Glen Jenvey out of UK? Huh!" Now I'm more curious then ever. I had to browse the sites to see what is going on.
First I went to http://www.supportersofshariah.co.uk/ , and found that the site contains news and links on war in Chechnya. Within few seconds, it automatically loads http://abuhamza.com/ . So, I went back to see who owns this domain. And look what I found!
The same guy Glen Jenvey owns this one too!
At http://abuhamza.com/ , I found the link to http://www.johnathangaltfilms.com/movie.html . Now I wondered, "So, the Glen guy owns this one too?" To verify, I went back to check.
Well no, this domain is registered to company called PGCC in Texas, USA. The specialty of this site http://www.johnathangaltfilms.com/ is Al-Qaeda movies. From Abu Hamza to Osama Bin Laden, as well as many videos on rare Al-Qaeda trainings!
Yes, it all began with a simple google search. I tried to trace some information about ININ I saved. And found the copy of the subscription confirmation email I received from them. Which is as follows:

So, it looks like, Glen Jenvey and his associates some how managed to get the list of ININ subscribers and just decided to frame them as pro-Palestinians, thus Al-Qaeda supporters. In other words, according to them, anyone who is a "Pro-Palestinian" is a "problem", and therefore, they are likely to be the supporters of "al-Qaida" as well. What a rationale!
Now I was mad. I said to myself, "These idiots have setup offices in UK and USA and put up "Islamic" web sites to misinform people, and at the same time, act a terrorist catcher!" Thus, I decided to contact them to see at what level they operate their business, and what were their explanations. So, I wrote them an email with a news link which I thought would draw their attention. And sure enough, I got a reply:

**Personally, I dislike use of the word "kufr", or "infidels". There is a smell of 'hate' in those words. I prefer to use the Quranic interpretation "disbelievers" or "non-believers" instead. Which is more inclined to 'intellectual differences'. It is okay to work for a non-Muslim as long the employer is just, fair and honest.
But by looking at the web sites of your employer, it appears to be a joint clandestine operation of the US and UK to defame Islam and Muslims.

Today Al-Qaeda (meaning "The Base") is a mystery network. Where as, even few years ago, they were in the open. There were Al-Qaeda training camps almost in every countries. Even in the United States and United Kingdom! They were receiving training from the elite military operators, CIA, FBI, MI6 to prepare to fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan. They were openly recruiting fighters from every Muslim countries. And who were the trainers and organizers? Mostly, the Americans and the British. Therefore, they have the training manuals, videos, and many important documentation on Al-Qaeda network and their operations. So, whatever references we are now finding on the net and everywhere are mostly from that era. That Al-Qaeda is no longer in operation.
Now we have two different Al-Qaeda groups. One that is trained by the originally trained Al-Qaeda (i.e., the Arab and Afghan veterans), and the other one is newly trained jointly by CIA and Mossad, consisting of Arab looking Israelis and defecting Arabs. Recently, a brand new Al-Qaeda group have emerged, they call themselves "Al-Qaeda II". This is the group that carried out the recent bombing in Saudi Arabia. This group is much better trained than the earlier ones, and they have no ties with the previous groups.
The problem is, they are divided among each other for some obvious reasons. The veteran and the new Al-Qaeda are now in conflict. The new one is trying to eliminate the old one. Now they are rivals. The situation is same like the Hamas group in Palestine. One consist of the Palestinians guerillas, and the other by Israeli spies.
911 was the work of the new or the Israeli Al-Qaeda. But blamed on the old one, i.e., the Arab Al-Qaeda. It is now hard to tell the difference between the good and the bad Al-Qaeda.
The new Israeli Al-Qaeda have an advantage over the old one. They are supported and helped by the US, UK, Australia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and some other governments. As a result, they have easy access to the infrastructures of those countries without being a suspect. Therefore, they carry out their covert operations at ease. 911 proved it.
How many times Israeli's have been caught with explosives, anthrax and other materials in the US? All with expired visas, or no visa at all? How did they get in? Who let them in? And how do they manage to remain in the US even after so many Patriot Acts? Who lets them go free after being caught? Why?
The famous Israeli spy ring has been busted by the FBI, but then it was all forgotten. There have been no effort to catch the 911 terrorists. No investigation so far. The Israeli's are operating an assassination team in the US, but there is no effort to catch them or stop them. This is the "New Al-Qaeda" I'm talking about. Well protected by the government. So, next time when a terrorist event takes place, you would know right away who did it. Since all the possible Muslim terrorist who might have ties with the Arab Al-Qaeda are now locked up in jail, the only viable possibilities are left for all doubts and suspicion are on the Israeli Al-Qaeda.
So, what is really going on while the terrorism alerts are shifting between red and orange? Why the administration, law and enforcement authorities are arresting the Muslims in the name of "War on Terrorism" and imprisoning them without any trial and bail? Why is there such a hue and cry against the Arabs and the Muslims while the real Israeli terrorists are free to go around that setup terrorist acts?
Well, if you still haven't been able to figure this out yet, then let me tell you why. This is the preparation for the "Armageddon". The fanatic Jews and Christians have joined hands together to crush Muslims and Islam by intimidation, harassment, false accusation, and to ultimately declare "Crusade".
Haven't you noticed that the Evangelist Christians and Talmudist Jews have recently changed their tones on Islam and Muslims? They are smearing and slandering Islam and Muslims left and right without any fear and guilt. They are confidently uttering lies about Islam and Muslims that they would not be able to prove. What made them so bold? It is the new government program called the "Faith Based Initiatives" that is acting as a motivation for them. Under this program, a religious group that joins the government propaganda machine receives funding and protection. The situation is now in favor of the ugly intolerant Christianity to rise again. Now tell me something, if you were to follow a religion, which religion would you choose? A religion that is tolerant to other faiths, or the one that is intolerant?
The last email I received from Yasmeen points to this fact. That email contains a link that leads to a site at http://www.geocities.com/theantiterrorismcoalition , which is all about hate against Islam and Muslims. There are may sites like that. Here is another one:

The magnitude of hate on this site is tremendous. They have some ruthless and brutal pictures there God knows how and from where they got them. It is clear that the site is setup to discourage people from accepting Islam. The main reason why 911, War on Terrorism, Muslim bashing, and Crusade is taking place.
Immediately before 911, Islam was the fastest growing religion in the world, not just in the US and UK. Even people in Israel were accepting Islam. The influence of Islam was so great that the US Postal Department for the first time, even issued postage stamps to commemorate the Muslim Eid festival two years in a row! Naturally, the leaders of other faith didn't like what was happening. They felt the threat of losing their business of 'religion' to Islam. So they had to act to stop this trend. Thus 911 was planned.
Because of the growth of Islamic faith, Israel was also feeling the pressure politically. They were cornered at the Conference of Racism in South Africa the year 911 happened. To save their face, they offered to be the "Foreign Partner" in the 911 plot, as indicated by Senator Graham recently.
Have they achieved their goals? No, not yet. Are they going to achieve it? I don't think so.
You see, people today are much more civilized than the people living during the times of "Dark Ages". Igniting the sentiment of crusade was relatively easy then. But now, people are much more educated and aware of what is really going on. So, the reaction is not as strong as they expected it to be. Now the nation is divided between the pro-war and anti-war groups. And the lines of separation is getting deeper and wider everyday. Did all this stop people from accepting Islam? No, not at all. In fact, peoples curiosity on Islam has gone up! Even after all these negative images and setups, people are still flocking to Islam.
Islam has one advantage over other religions. More it is tarnished, more it gets burnished. Islam stands on its own merit, not on the acts of Muslims.
Most of the hate sites tries to discredit the Muslims to discredit Islam. It is true that there are certain amount of disturbing elements that exist among the Muslims, but that doesn't ruin Islam. Like many Jews and Christians, there are also some Muslims who do not accurately follow their religion, not to mention the hypocrites and apostates. But does that demean Islam? No, it doesn't. But it does demean the Muslims those who demonstrates such acts. For instance, the site at http://embark.to/AMS shows some photographs that were possibly taken during the unrest in East Timor, Indonesia. At a time, when both Christians and Muslims committed atrocities against each other. And by looking at those pictures, one cannot tell who is a Muslim and who is a Christian.
To check them out, I also went to check their domain registration.
Not much of information is available on this one. Chances are, the organizers of this site are located in Canada. As the site is hosted by http://www.easydns.com doing business out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The safest way to learn Islam today is by going straight to the books - The Qur'an and the Traditions of the Prophet. And the best strategy is to learn the language of the Qur'an (i.e., Arabic) gradually. Most of the scholarly work of Islam are done in Arabic. Therefore, it is wise to study those materials in the language it is originally written to understand the materials properly and accurately. You may however take a teacher or a guide to help you understand the basics of Islam. But make sure the person you are choosing is a practicing Muslim. No matter what your 'teacher' teaches you, ultimately, it is your responsibility to check and verify the things you learn with the original sources of Islam. Unfortunately, there are many variations and divisions of Muslims around the world. It is your duty to find the right group. And the safest way to stay out of mess is by self-education through the original books. In the Holy Qur'an in Chapter 85: The Mansions of the Stars or Constellations, we find:
085.019 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)!
085.020 But God doth encompass them from behind!
085.021 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an,
085.022 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved!
And in Chapter 15: Rock City, we find:
015.009 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

Without the Qur'an and Sunnah (Traditions), there is no Islam. So, stick to the books. You would hardly go wrong if you simply learn Islam from the original sources. Straight forward, simple and no BS. Majority of the Muslims who are born in a Muslim environment learns Islam from their peers, family, teachers. They hardly follow or even read the books. And when some do, they usually read the translations (not the original Arabic). Often, those translations are not accurate. Many of them are poor translations and full of misinterpretations. As a result, they end up learning many things that are contrary to Islamic teachings. Thus, end up practicing Islam wrongly. Now, should we blame Islam for their ignorance and mistakes? We shouldn't.
Islam is not a threat, as the Jews, Christians and the Hindus likes to portray. Instead, it is a religion of "Peace and Mercy." Once you get into the Islamic studies, you would get to know the true Islam.
Finally, I'll end this counter-article with chapter 5: The Table Spread from the Holy Qur'an. I'm purposely quoting the full chapter to keep the meaning intact, as I think this particular chapter relates to our present situation.

But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah. for Allah is strict in punishment.
005.003. Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah. that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Comments: Dietary laws has also been prescribed in many different parts of the Qur'an. Modern medical science have proven many of the negative effects on the prohibitions mentioned above. Prohibitions above are meant for our own good. However, it is also important to note that, in case of 'forced hunger', one is allowed to disobey these laws for the sake of survival. Provided, no other alternatives are left. This verse also points out to the fact that, Allah have 'perfected' and 'completed' the religion of Islam for us to follow.
005.004. They ask thee what is lawful to them (as food). Say: lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah. eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it: and fear Allah. for Allah is swift in taking account.
Comments: This verse stresses the importance of 'pronouncement of the name of Allah' at the time of slaughtering an animal for food. This is where the concept of Halal (allowed) and Haram (disallowed) comes in.
005.005. This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
Comments: This verse permits Muslims to have the food processed by the "People of the Book", generally meaning the Jews and the Christians. However, there are a lot of disagreement among the Muslim scholars on practicality of this verse. It is mainly because of the fact that the modern day Jews and Christians do not practice the laws and principles of their book. Moreover, when Qur'an was revealed, there were many true followers of the books still around who strictly followed the laws of the books. Therefore, at that time, it was not a problem as it is today. For instance, Christians today eat pork, where as the early Christians didn't. Today, comparatively, it is safer to eat the Jewish 'Kosher' foods. But it is best to to go for the Muslim halal food if they are available.
The second part of the verse deals with the marriage from the people of the book. I've dealt with this on a separate arcicle "Qur'an allows, but...".
005.006. O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.
Comments: The importance and purpose of ablution is stresses here, as well as the flexibilities.
005.007. And call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, and His covenant, which He ratified with you, when ye said: "We hear and we obey": And fear Allah, for Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts.
Comments: In Islam, intent (niyah) is very important. Our intention and prayer must correlate. Otherwise, our prayers would not be accepted by Allah.
005.008. O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.
Comments: Islam is a very strict religion. Always insisting upon truth and justice. A Muslim, under no circumstance is allowed to do injustice to others. Where as in Judaism, according to Talmud, a Jew is allowed to mistreat or cheat or even kill a non-Jew or a gentile.
005.009. To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.
Comments: Throughout the Qur'an, 'rewards' have been offered and declared for all the good actions and deeds performed. And this is done to encourage 'righteousness'.
005.010. Those who reject faith and deny our signs will be companions of Hell-fire.
Comments: Along with rewards, punishments have also been declared for not following the laws as prescribed in the Qur'an. This is done simply to discourage evil.
005.011. O ye who believe! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you when certain men formed the design to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you: so fear Allah. And on Allah let believers put (all) their trust.
Comments: Here Allah is declaring his protection against all open and secret plots and plans the disbelievers may try to attain against the believers.
005.012. Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practice regular charity, believe in my apostles, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."
Comments: Before Islam, similar protection was offered to the Jews under certain conditions.
005.013. But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.
Comments: But things changed when they (the Jews) rebelled. Because of their breach of covenant, forgery, deceits, Allah have cursed them by making their heart grow hard. Yet, He is suggesting the Muslims to 'overlook their misdeeds' and 'forgive them'! Is that why Arabs (especially the Palestinians) are so tolerant toward the Israeli even after so much of atrocities committed against them?
005.014. From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.
Comments: Same thing happened with the Christians. They also broke their covenant by corrupting the books. As a result, they are divided among themselves with many different denominations of Christianity.
005.015. O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary). There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book,-
Comments: Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) or Jesus the Christ was sent to the Jews to point out to the corruptions in their books as we see in the Gospel of Jesus according to Barnabas and Matthew. On the other hand, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) pointed out to the errors of Christianity. Both the prophets were "Messengers" of Allah, Who has sent us a 'new' book, the Qur'an.
005.016. Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight.
Comments: This Qur'an is a guide from Allah for mankind, leading to a 'straight' path.
005.017. In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."
Comments: Association of anything with Allah is a blasphemy. Non-Muslims do not have a clear conception of God. As such, knowingly or unknowingly they associate partners with God and fall into the trap of blasphemy. I've discussed the concept of God in Islam in a separate article "Faith, Logic, and the Truth".
005.018. (Both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say: "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)"
Comments: Here Allah Himself is refuting the claims and concept of "sons of god" in Judaism and Christianity. The only way to be His 'beloved' is by following the Qur'an. We are all human beings, and no one is better than the other. All these claims of superiority are false.
005.019. O People of the Book! Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our apostles, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.
Comments: Here Allah is introducing His Messenger Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the Jews and Christians as their prophet as well.
005.020. Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.
005.021. "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."
005.022. They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter."
005.023. (But) among (their) Allah fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith."
005.024. They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch)."
005.025. He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!"
005.026. Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people.
Comments: This information (i.e., wandering for 40 years) is in conformation with the books of the Jews and the Christians. And this happened as a punishment for not following the prophet.
005.027. Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah.: It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "(Allah) doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.
Comments: This verse relates to the story of the two sons of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) Habil and Kabil.
005.028. "If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear Allah, the cherisher of the worlds."
005.029. "For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong."
005.030. The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.
Comments: Kabil by killing his brother Habil became one of the lost ones.
005.031. Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets-
Comments: Since it was the first death Kabil didn't know what to do with the body. So Allah sent the raven to teach him how to bury a dead body. A practice we still follow today.
005.032. On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.
Comments: Jews hardly obey any of the commandments of Allah. Here Allah has specifically warned them against murder and killings, yet they continue to do so in many different excuses. Today we see them committing genocide and 'mischief' around the world in the name of Israel or Greater Israel, as well as under the cover of Mossad, Shin Bet, IDF, and Zionism.
005.033. The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;
Comments: Such acts are considered as 'waging war against Allah and His Messenger'. And He also prescribed the form of punishments for such a crime.
005.034. Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Comments: But if they repent and do not stand on the way of Allah, then Muslims have been asked to show mercy.
005.035. O ye who believe! Do your duty to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive with might and main in his cause: that ye may prosper.
Comments: Prosperity of Muslims lies in striving in the way of Allah with full might.
005.036. As to those who reject Faith,- if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.
Comments: Those who reject the call of Allah, there will be no room for bargain left for them.
005.037. Their wish will be to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out there from: their penalty will be one that endures.
005.038. As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power.
Comments: Saudi Arabia is probably the only Muslim nation in the world today that still impose this punishment for stealing. This fearful and merciless punishment is meant to be an 'example', so that people would know the consequences of stealing before they carried out such an act. It is meant to create an image of fear to keep people away from stealing. Implementation is not compulsory, as we see in the following verse.
005.039. But if the thief repents after his crime, and amends his conduct, Allah turneth to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
005.040. Knowest thou not that to Allah (alone) belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punisheth whom He pleaseth, and He forgiveth whom He pleaseth: and Allah hath power over all things.
Comments: Here Allah is reminding us of His power and authority over everything.
005.041. O Messenger, let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah.s will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.
Comments: Here Allah is advising His messenger not to worry about the hypocrites, or the Jews who pretends to listen to him but actually do not take heed. It is because Allah sometimes puts some people on trial. Eventually, spiritual success and failure depends on the wish of Allah alone.
005.042. (They are fond of) listening to falsehood, of devouring anything forbidden. If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere. If thou decline, they cannot hurt thee in the least. If thou judge, judge in equity between them. For Allah loveth those who judge in equity.
Comments: This is an amazing fact that is true. Jews are 'fond' of Talmud more than the Torah. Talmud was a creation of the Babylonian Jews. A book of rules and regulations created by the Rabbis of that time. Many of the rules are contrary to the teachings of Torah, and often times offensive. Yet, Jews follow it without questions. by 'listening to falsehood' and 'devouring anything forbidden'. Therefore, Allah has cautioned his Messenger to deal with them carefully, justly. Or just simply 'decline to interfere'.
005.043. But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) law before them?- therein is the (plain) command of Allah. yet even after that, they would turn away. For they are not (really) People of Faith.
Comments: And the caution is due to the fact that their main intention is to mock and test the prophet. As they are the people of doubt and lacking faith.
005.044. It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.
Comments: Here Allah is confirming that Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) was sent with laws and guidance. But the rabbis and the Pharisees took control of the guidance and manipulated them to their won advantage. Therefore, Allah is warning the Muslims not to be like them.
005.045. We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers.
Comments: Although retribution of equal type is allowed for any wrong doing, but mercy has been recommended as a way of retaliation.
005.046. And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.
Comments: The Gospel of Jesus is known as the Injeel in the Muslim world. If one read the gospel carefully, one would find that it mostly talks about the book of Moses (i.e., the Torah). Pointing out the errors and confirming the things that are correct.
005.047. Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.
Comments: The Gospel should be judged by the contents that it contains in it, and not by the cover.
005.048. To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah. it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;
Comments: This is an amazing verse. Here Allah is revealing the main reason for our existence here on earth. We have been given different books and have been put to test. We have been asked to strive and 'race in all virtues' to discover the truth. The whole thing is intentional. In the end, when we would all return to Allah, He will tell us the truth. A true test of human free will and intellegence.
005.049. And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.
Comments: Muslims are commanded to judge taking the Qur'an and Sunnah as a guidance. We have been warned against using 'vain desires', or secular means.
005.050. Do they then seek after a judgment of (the days of) ignorance? But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah.
005.051. O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
Comments: A dire warning that the Muslim world have been ignoring for centuries now. The situation we are facing today from the Jews and Christians are the direct consequences of ignorance to this warning. On the face of oppression, the Muslim world instead of uniting together to deal with their own problems, they rush to the Jewish and Christian organizations like UN, NATO, IMF, EU, etc. They would not help a Muslim nation if it costs their safety and protection. As a result, no peaceful solution have been achieved in Palestine, Lebanon, Kashmir, Chechnya, Afghanistan, and now Iraq. Along with the UN, France, Germany, Russia, China, India, all big and powerful nations opposed the war on Iraq. But when the US really invaded Iraq, all were quiet. Instead of depending on the Jews and Christians, Muslims need to find their own solutions. Allah clearly indicates here that anyone who would join hands with the Jews and Christians against the Muslims will be considered as 'of them'. In other words, if the defectors are Muslims, they would cease to be a Muslim.
005.052. Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.
Comments: No solution would come through wishful thinking. Nor will it do us any good until our intentions are clear.
005.053. And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin.
Comments: As pointed out earlier, no peaceful and lasting solution would come until we learn to take the matters on our own hands. And try our best to find a solution ourselves without the help of the Jews and Christians.
005.054. O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.
Comments: Indeed, Allah has 'produced a people' who are doing just that. A dedicated group of people ( the mujaheedeens or the freedom fighters) who are fighting in the way of Allah in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Kashmir and other countries. Their struggle is to find a permanent solution to all the problems around the world.
005.055. Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).
Comments: Other than Allah and His Messenger, only a believer is a friend to another believer.
005.056. As to those who turn (for friendship) to Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- it is the fellowship of Allah that must certainly triumph.
Comments: A fellowship with Allah and His Messenger is bound to win.
005.057. O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport,- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed).
Comments: Again the same warning is coming from another angle. This time it is beyond the Jews and Christians. Implication here is, anyone who mocks our religion is not a friend. And the reason is explained further here,
"060.001 O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in God your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path.
060.002 If they were to get the better of you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you for evil: and they desire that ye should reject the Truth.
060.003 Of no profit to you will be your relatives and your children on the Day of Judgment: He will judge between you: for God sees well all that ye do."
The Iraqi Republican Army have laid down their arms to the US invading forces for an exchange for "Green Cards", US dollars and for the safety of their families. They have given up their honor, dignity and sovereignty for greed and safety that won't last for long. I don't know what they were thinking. A country that set them up on a fight with Kuwait 12 years, and shot them on the back while retreating from there. A country that knowingly all the harmful effects used depleted uranium bombs in their country that resulted in deformity of all the newborns after wards. A country that imposed economic sanctions for over 10 years that resulted in death of many civilians. A country that even didn't stop at that, they even invaded the country under false pretext to loot their remaining resources. A country that did the same to their brotherly nation Afghanistan. Yet, after all this, they chose not to fight them. What made them to think that a country that didn't leave them alone from thousands of miles away, that they would leave them alone while living in America (with their newly earned green cards and citizenships) right under their nose? What made them to think that they could have a good life and enjoy freedom in a country where democracy is just a lip service and Muslims are locked up in jail without any warrant and without any trial? I find it quite amazing.
I admit, Saddam was not a good guy, nor is Bush, Blair and Howard. Only thing I know, if I were an Iraqi and if I were there at that time, I would never have surrendered to the the invading forces. I would have fought till death, knowing very well that if I'm caught alive, I'll end up in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba! Cuba's Fidel Castro is just another big mouth villain in the NWO game. If he were truly an honest leader, he would have taken back Guantanamo Bay from the Americans and freed all the prisoners there. It is better to die with honor in struggle for Allah's cause rather than being tortured by the enemies who are no better than beasts. If I had ran out of ammunitions like the Taliban fighters those who fought in Mazar-e-Sharif, I would continue fighting with my dagger and bayonets. Yet I wouldn't let my enemies capture me alive. Because, their Geneva convention laws are for their protection only not for us. And of course, I wouldn't have fought for Saddam Hussain. Instead, I would have fought for truth, justice, personal freedom, national sovereignty, against aggression, oppression, and over all for the sake of Allah.
"003.077 As for those who sell the faith they owe to God and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will God (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin): They shall have a grievous penalty.
004.074 Let those fight in the cause of God Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of God,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).
004.075 And why should ye not fight in the cause of God and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!"
004.076 Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.
016.095 Nor sell the covenant of God for a miserable price: for with God is (a prize) far better for you, if ye only knew.
016.096 What is with you must vanish: what is with God will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions."
005.058. When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.
Comments: There are some people who mocks the call of prayer (adhan), and they do so due to their lack of knowledge and understanding.
005.059. Say: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"
Comments: Muslims have been asked to question the Jews and Christians for their disbelief in Islam.
005.060. Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah. those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil;- these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!"
Comments: Another interesting verse. Here we are told that some people were 'transformed into apes and swine' at some point in time. Is this why we the humans have so much of similarities with them? Is this another reason why we have been specifically mentioned not to eat 'swine'?
005.061. When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide.
Comments: This verse refers to hypocrites and apostates.
005.062. Many of them dost thou see, racing each other in sin and rancour, and their eating of things forbidden. Evil indeed are the things that they do.
Comments: A warning against competing for evil things or desires.
005.063. Why do not the rabbis and the doctors of Law forbid them from their (habit of) uttering sinful words and eating things forbidden? Evil indeed are their works.
Comments: Even Jesus Christ accused the rabbis and the Pharisees of his time for concealing the truth from the common people. Which they still do today.
005.064. The Jews say: "(Allah)'s hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.
Comments: Another fantastic verse. Here Allah is revealing the true nature of the Jewish people. They take matters on their own hands and play god. They randomly interfere with God's plan and try to create mischief around the world. World War I and II both had links to Jewish conspiracies. Even the latest 911 event has Jewish/Israeli connections that has led to war in the Middle Eastern countries. Not to mention the attempts of the Mossad (the Israeli foreign secret service) to get US into war with Libya, Egypt by false flags (e.g., Lavon Affair, attack on USS Liberty, shooting down of TWA 800, bombing of OKC CIA building, etc.). Surprisingly enough, the motto of the Mossad is, "By way of deception, thou shall make war." Indeed, that's exactly what they do, as the Qur'an certified above over 1,400 years ago! Amazing isn't it? Still you cast doubt on this marvelous book "The Holy Qur'an", the book that itself declares,
"002.002 This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear God..."
005.065. If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss.
Comments: The option of purification is still open.
005.066. If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.
Comments: The solution for world peace is laid down here.
005.067. O Messenger. proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.
Comments: It was the job o the Messenger to proclaim the message around the world under the protection of Allah Himself.
005.068. Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.
Comments: All the revelations before Islam was incomplete and was meant to continue. But the people of the book are adamantly holding onto their books and refusing to accept the Qur'an.
005.069. Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
Comments: One of the conditions of being a Muslim is that he or she would also have to believe in the books prior to the Qur'an.
005.070. We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent them apostles, every time, there came to them an apostle with what they themselves desired not - some (of these) they called impostors, and some they (go so far as to) slay.
Comments: Jews have killed many apostles of God. That's why they are also known as 'prophet killers'. They also helped the Roman soldiers to capture Jesus Christ to be killed on the cross.
005.071. They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do.
Comments: Out of mercy, Allah have given the Jews repeated chances to return to Him, but they remained 'blind and deaf'.
005.072. They do blaspheme who say: "(Allah) is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.
Comments: Now coming back to Christians. Jesus Christ never claimed to be a 'God' or 'Son of God'. But some people misunderstood his message. A detail story of this incident can be found in the Gospel of Jesus according to Barnabas and Matthew.
005.073. They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.
Comments: A clear warning to the Christians on the issue of 'Trinity'.
005.074. Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful.
Comments: Pride and arrogance perhaps?
005.075. Christ the son of Mary was no more than an apostle; many were the apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!
Comments: Here Allah is refuting the concept of 'incarnation of God'.
005.076. Say: "Will ye worship, besides Allah, something which hath no power either to harm or benefit you? But Allah,- He it is that heareth and knoweth all things."
Comments: How can a god or the son of god who could not help himself help others?
005.077. Say: "O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by,- who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way.
Comments: A common warning to the Jews and Christians on the issue of going to extreme with their religion. Their religion is corrupted and impure. Therefore, there is no need to impose these religions on other in the name of crusade or world domination. The missionary concepts are an act of extremism. Instead, they should adopt Islam.
005.078. Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.
Comments: And the curse is still on.
005.079. Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.
005.080. Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the Unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result), that Allah's wrath is on them, and in torment will they abide.
005.081. If only they had believed in Allah, in the Messenger, and in what hath been revealed to him, never would they have taken them for friends and protectors, but most of them are rebellious wrong-doers.
Comments: True faith comes through complete dependence on Allah and His Messenger (e.g., the Qur'an and Sunnah).
005.082. Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.
Comments: This verse refers to the true Christians who are 'devout to learning' and 'not arrogant'. They are the 'nearest' ones to the Muslims. Unfortunately, those Unitarian Christians are a minority today.
005.083. And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognize the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses.
Comments: The Unitarian Christians believe in One God and accepts Jesus Christ as a Messenger of God. Therefore, for them, Islam is a consistent and a natural message. The closest group to the Unitarians are the Jehovah's Witnesses.
005.084. "What cause can we have not to believe in Allah and the truth which has come to us, seeing that we long for our Lord to admit us to the company of the righteous?"
005.085. And for this their prayer hath Allah rewarded them with gardens, with rivers flowing underneath,- their eternal home. Such is the recompense of those who do good.
005.086. But those who reject Faith and belie our Signs,- they shall be companions of Hell-fire.
005.087. O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.
005.088. Eat of the things which Allah hath provided for you, lawful and good; but fear Allah, in Whom ye believe.
005.089. Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful.
005.090. O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.
Comments: According to one of the sayings of our Prophet (peace be upon him), a single drop of alcohol intake nullifies prayers for 40 days. Unfortunately, many Muslims do not know this hadith. They think it is okay to drink little alcohol (such as beer and wine) once in a while.
005.091. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?
005.092. Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and beware (of evil): if ye do turn back, know ye that it is Our Messenger's duty to proclaim (the message) in the clearest manner.
Comments: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has done his job by proclaiming the message of Islam. Now it is our job to understand and accept it. If we want to win the game.
005.093. On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For Allah loveth those who do good.
Comments: Here is a declaration of reward for those who would become a believer or a Muslim. All his or her past sins would be forgiven provided they maintain their righteousness.
005.094. O ye who believe! Allah doth but make a trial of you in a little matter of game well within reach of your hands and your lances, that He may test who feareth him unseen: any who transgress thereafter, will have a grievous penalty.
Comments: Every once in a while Allah tests a Muslim within his means and capabilities.
005.095. O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution.
005.096. Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food,- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game;- as long as ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back.
005.097. Allah made the Ka'ba, the Sacred House, an asylum of security for men, as also the Sacred Months, the animals for offerings, and the garlands that mark them: That ye may know that Allah hath knowledge of what is in the heavens and on earth and that Allah is well acquainted with all things.
Comments: The importance of Kaba in Mecca has many spiritual aspects. Only time will reveal its secrets.
005.098. Know ye that Allah is strict in punishment and that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
005.099. The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim (the message). But Allah knoweth all that ye reveal and ye conceal.
005.100. Say: "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, O ye that understand; that (so) ye may prosper."
Comments: The shiny materialistic and promiscuous Western societies may dazzle a Muslim. But in spiritual sense, they are bad things.
005.101. O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if ye ask about things when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made plain to you, Allah will forgive those: for Allah is Oft- forgiving, Most Forbearing.
Comments: Unfortunately, for present day Muslims, we are out of luck to ask questions on revelations. Because the revelation is now complete and our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) is no longer around us to explain them any further. The only way out for us are the hadiths or the traditions and sayings of the prophet.
005.102. Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.
Comments: And so it happened again to many after the completion of the revelation. The Shiai, Ismaili (or Aga Khanis), Farakhanism, Bahaism, and other groups asked questions about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) being the 'seal of the prophets' and lost their faith. They seem to have problem with this verse in the Qur'an,
"033.040 Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of God, and the Seal of the Prophets: and God has full knowledge of all things."
Although they do have their own explanation for neglecting this verse, but frankly, I find their arguments kind of silly and without any merit. Because, it was Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was responsible to preach and teach Islam to mankind. And the mission of revelation of religion was completed through him when Allah declared that,
"005.003 ...This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion..."
It is clear that Islam has been 'perfected', and 'completed' by Allah through his messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), who is the 'seal' or the last of the prophets. Simply because, the job is done! Therefore, no more new prophets would be needed. Any negligence of any verse or any innovation of new ideas that is contrary to the teachings of Islam would cause a person to lose his or her bond with Islam. Just calling self a Muslim doesn't make one a Muslim. It is the adherence to Islam and practicing it as prescribed does. Those who cast doubts on Qur'an and still claims to be a Muslim, think again. If you do not like Islam the way it is, then please do not call yourself a Muslim. Because you are not.
"006.159 As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with God: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.
030.031 Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with God,-
030.032 Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!033.036 It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by God and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys God and His Apostle, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path."
005.103. It was not Allah who instituted (superstitions like those of) a slit-ear she- camel, or a she-camel let loose for free pasture, or idol sacrifices for twin-births in animals, or stallion-camels freed from work: It is blasphemers who invent a lie against Allah. But most of them lack wisdom.
Comments: There is no room for superstitions, magic, witchcraft, or vodoo in Islam.
005.104. When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed; come to the Messenger.: They say: "Enough for us are the ways we found our fathers following." what! even though their fathers were void of knowledge and guidance?
Comments: A very good and a valid question!
005.105. O ye who believe! Guard your own souls: If ye follow (right) guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. the goal of you all is to Allah. it is He that will show you the truth of all that ye do.
Comments: Yes, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will show all our deeds and records.
005.106. O ye who believe! When death approaches any of you, (take) witnesses among yourselves when making bequests,- two just men of your own (brotherhood) or others from outside if ye are journeying through the earth, and the chance of death befalls you (thus). If ye doubt (their truth), detain them both after prayer, and let them both swear by Allah. "We wish not in this for any worldly gain, even though the (beneficiary) be our near relation: we shall hide not the evidence before Allah. if we do, then behold! the sin be upon us!"
005.107. But if it gets known that these two were guilty of the sin (of perjury), let two others stand forth in their places,- nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right: let them swear by Allah. "We affirm that our witness is truer than that of those two, and that we have not trespassed (beyond the truth): if we did, behold! the wrong be upon us!"
005.108. That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear Allah, and listen (to His counsel): for Allah guideth not a rebellious people:
005.109. One day will Allah gather the apostles together, and ask: "What was the response ye received (from men to your teaching)?" They will say: "We have no knowledge: it is Thou Who knowest in full all that is hidden."
Comments: Not just us, all the apostles and prophets would also be assembled on the Day of Judgment to witness and to be a witness.
005.110. Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'
Comments: Qur'an confirms the stories of the miracles performed by Prophet Isa (peace be upon him).
005.111. "And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger. they said, 'We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims'".
005.112. Behold! the disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear Allah, if ye have faith."
005.113. They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."
005.114. Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)."
005.115. Allah said: "I will send it down unto you: But if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples."
005.116. And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah.?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
Comments: Jesus Christ will deny all allegations against him. Such as, being God, or Son of God, or Trinity, etc.
005.117. "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.
Comments: According to the Gospel of Jesus as recorded by Barnabas and Matthew, he did deny being a god or son of god. Trinity is in fact a later day innovation of the Catholic church.
005.118. "If Thou dost punish them, they are Thy servant: If Thou dost forgive them, Thou art the Exalted in power, the Wise."
005.119. Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah. That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires).
Comments: Time to revert is now, not later.
005.120. To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things.
Comments: Allah is in charge of everything, not Jesus Christ or the Jewish Messiah.
I've discussed just one chapter from the Qur'an. There are a total of 114 chapters in the Qur'an altogether. All full of wisdom and knowledge. Would you still not pick up the book and read to learn more? What is stopping you? Your base is shaking, and the roof is about to fall on you, still you would not come out of lies, deception, falsehood and ignorance, eh?
"003.023 Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who have been given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of God, to settle their dispute, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration).
003.024 This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion...003.078 There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from God," but it is not from God: It is they who tell a lie against God, and (well) they know it!
003.064 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to God's Will).
006.070 Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except God: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting God.
008.030 Remember how the Unbelievers plotted against thee, to keep thee in bonds, or slay thee, or get thee out (of thy home). They plot and plan, and God too plans; but the best of planners is God.
011.008 If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!
011.014 "If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of God, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"
011.121 Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part;
011.122 "And wait ye! We too shall wait.014.046 Mighty indeed were the plots which they made, but their plots were (well) within the sight of God, even though they were such as to shake the hills!
014.047 Never think that God would fail his apostles in His promise: for God is
Exalted in power, - the Lord of Retribution.014.052 Here is a Message for mankind: Let them take warning there from, and let
them know that He is (no other than) One God: let men of understanding take heed.015.002 Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam.
015.003 Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).
015.004 Never did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand.
015.005 Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it.016.026 Those before them did also plot (against God's Way): but God took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive.
016.045 Do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that God will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the Wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?
021.106 Verily in this (Qur'an) is a Message for people who would (truly) worship God.
021.107 We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.
021.108 Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your God is One God: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?"
021.109 But if they turn back, Say: "I have proclaimed the Message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far.024.057 Never think thou that the Unbelievers are going to frustrate (God's Plan) on earth: their abode is the Fire,- and it is indeed an evil refuge!
027.092 And to rehearse the Qur'an: and if any accept guidance, they do it for the good of their own souls, and if any stray, say: "I am only a Warner".
027.093 And say: "Praise be to God, Who will soon show you His Signs, so that ye shall know them"; and thy Lord is not unmindful of all that ye do.028.075 And from each people shall We draw a witness, and We shall say: "Produce your Proof": then shall they know that the Truth is in God (alone), and the (lies) which they invented will leave them in lurch.
029.046 And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our God and your God is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."
029.047 And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. So the People of the Book believe therein, as also do some of these (pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject our signs.031.018 "And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for God loveth not any arrogant boaster.
031.019 "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass."039.001 The revelation of this Book is from God, the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.
039.002 Verily it is We Who have revealed the Book to thee in Truth: so serve God, offering Him sincere devotion.039.004 Had God wished to take to Himself a son, He could have chosen whom He pleased out of those whom He doth create: but Glory be to Him! (He is above such things.) He is God, the One, the Irresistible.
039.023 God has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of God's praises. Such is the guidance of God: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as God leaves to stray, can have none to guide.
039.028 (It is) a Qur'an in Arabic, without any crookedness (therein): in order that they may guard against Evil.
040.003 Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment, and hath a long reach (in all things). there is no god but He: to Him is the final goal.
041.003 A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur'an in Arabic, for people who understand;-
041.052 Say: "See ye if the (Revelation) is (really) from God, and yet do ye reject it? Who is more astray than one who is in a schism far (from any purpose)?"
041.053 Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?
041.054 Ah indeed! Are they in doubt concerning the Meeting with their Lord? Ah indeed! It is He that doth encompass all things!042.013 The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than God, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).
042.014 And they became divided only after Knowledge reached them,- through selfish envy as between themselves. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (tending) to a Term appointed, the matter would have been settled between them: But truly those who have inherited the Book after them are in suspicious (disquieting) doubt concerning it.042.017 It is God Who has sent down the Book in Truth, and the Balance (by which to weigh conduct). And what will make thee realize that perhaps the Hour is close at hand?
043.063 When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear God and obey me.
043.064 "For God, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way."
043.065 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day!043.081 Say: "If (God) Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship."
043.082 Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to him)!
043.083 So leave them to babble and play (with vanities) until they meet that Day of theirs, which they have been promised.045.007 Woe to each sinful dealer in Falsehoods:
045.008 He hears the Signs of God rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!046.032 "If any does not hearken to the one who invites (us) to God, he cannot frustrate (God's Plan) on earth, and no protectors can he have besides God: such men (wander) in manifest error."
047.010 Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? God brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject God.
047.011 That is because God is the Protector of those who believe, but those who reject God have no protector.
047.034 Those who reject God, and hinder (men) from the Path of God, then die rejecting God,- God will not forgive them.
058.005 Those who resist God and His Apostle will be humbled to dust, as were those before them: for We have already sent down Clear Signs. And the Unbelievers (will have) a humiliating Penalty,-
058.006 On the Day that God will raise them all up (again) and show them the Truth (and meaning) of their conduct. God has reckoned its (value), though they may have forgotten it, for God is Witness to all things.059.021 Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of God. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.
061.007 Who doth greater wrong than one who invents falsehood against God, even as he is being invited to Islam? And God guides not those who do wrong.
061.008 Their intention is to extinguish God's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But God will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).
